Wheel Gap
I apologize if this is an often asked question.....but, is the wheel gap (ride height) any different for the adaptive suspension vs the standard passive suspension? Coming from the f30 world, there's a huge difference between an xdrive vs non-x wheel gap....and cars with the adaptive suspension seem to sit up higher than their passive sport suspension counterparts.
With so many complaints about the f8x stock wheel gap....just curious....is it the same as an f30 sport suspension ride height? And more importantly....is the adaptive suspension ride height any different than the passive suspension in the f8x? Thanks! |

I just did a ton of measurements on this (don't aks why ).
Stock, wheel center to fender edge is ~14.4". The stock 255/35R19 PSS has a 13" radius which means front tire gap is ~1.4". The 19" wheel has a 10.25" radius, so the "wheel" gap is ~4.1".

Hm - I have to measure mine. I have the stock setup on my car and I just don't remember it being this high.
