Why Wouldn't a Dealer CPO a Car?

I noticed that one of my local dealers doesn't seem to CPO any of the ///M that they have. Also not every regular car gets it either.
Mileage and age definitely qualify.
When I look at other dealers they seem to CPO everything they can.

Seems like if they are trying to save a $ M5 and M6 are the wrong ones to do it on.

I think it's just a ploy to advertise cars at a lower price. In the end CPO is added to the advertised price and most people happily pay for it.

I believe that any recorded damage to vehicle disqualifies ability to CPO the car.

Yup. It is a "get you in the door" pricing tactic.

Or if the service history (following service schedule) can't be verified.

A lot of dealers advertise lowest price to get buyers in the door. If you ask them they will CPO select vehicles as long as the break in service and scheduled maintenance has been followed exactly. CPO will add approx $3k to the price as it will extend the warranty 6yr/100k miles from in service date.

Oddly enough many owners/lessee's do not follow the recommended maintenance schedule even though until recently it was included in the price and 4yr/50k miles.

+1. I can vouch for that! Either way,....you do not want to have some sort of warranty behind you with one of these puppies! CPO preferred!!
