Tpms

So the tpms are year specific? So how is it programmed? I have to pull them from my old wheels?

Yes they are year specific. You can use the last 7 of your VIN or your production month and year to figure out which sensors you need if you are buying news one's. You can always call the dealer as well, but I like to do my own fact checking. Simply follow the adaptation process outlined in your manual.

If you are buying new wheels, you can swap your old sensors over or you can purchase new one's. Up to you depending on if you are keeping your old wheels or selling them etc.

Tire Rack sells OEM TPMS sensors. They are the same sensors that come in your car from the factory. The sensor sell for $55 each.
You can program them yourself or any local tire shop can do it.

Feel free to call/email me directly. Keith@tirerack.com or 800-428-8355 ext 4799.

you can either take it to the dealer or find a tire shop that carries a TPMS tool.

The sensor should not need to be programmed, it will already be pre-programmed if you buy an OEM sensor. What you will need to do is a reset after they are installed.

I bought a sensor made by the same company as oem, maybe hepu, and reset tpms, but light still on. My winter wheels work fine so the issue must be with the replaced sensor or anothef sensor on my summer wheels.
