Apex arc8 and hankook rs3

Just finished mounting my hankook rs3 on apex wheels. Specs are as everyone usually runs 18x10 et25 square with 275/35/18. Actually a little disappointed on how narrow the tires look on the wheels, kinda wish I went 285 now. Also what spacer does everyone recommend to get the rear to become flush like the fronts?

The 275 RS3's run narrow compared to most other RS3's it seems. They're more like a wide 255.

The 285/35 RS3's are a lot more than 10mm wider and will fit all around on 18x10 ET25 with a little rubbing on the splashguards up front if you're so inclined. They will eventually wear a little speed hole in the back of each splash guard but it's not a big deal and won't hit anything important even over big bumps

A 12mm spacer in back will get it pretty close to how it looks in front

I'm actually running my 275's on the back with a spacer and 285's on the front right now trying to kill them and they just...won't...die. A track day and a bunch of hoonage and 8000+ street miles and can't kill them, the 275's still have more than 5/32" of tread after all that wtf

Hankook tires are legit. I have NT01s right now, but I think next season I'm going to pick-up some Hankook TDs.

Looking good OP If you are looking for a very flush rear fitment, we suggest running our 12mm spacers.

RS3s last forever

I like the very slight stretch. The NT01s in 275 seem to want a 10.5 wheel to have some slight stretch

Those look legit! I ran this same setup (in Hyper Silver) on my E90 M3 with 12mm spacer in the rear.

I wish they made those RS-3's in a size to fit my 19" ZCP wheels.

I wanted to go one size up 255 & 275/35/19 but didn't see both sizes online. I'll have to go have another look.

Just put them on. They actually look really good. Eventually I will be getting a spacer in the back though. The grip is INSANE, im loving this new setup.

the only combo on Tirerack would be 245/35/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on rears. They don't make a 255 or 265/35/19. Too bad. These tires look like they would be ok in the rain. Two of my last four track sessions we rode in the rain for half a day so have some tread.

They are what I would call barely adequate for rain

These are not tires to be run in the rain

We had the same offset on our wheels, but with EC7. We ended up running a 5mm spacer front and 12mm spacer rear to flush it out. You can see how it looks here:

I actually ran my RS3's in very light snow on the track. Was supposed to be rain, but it got down in the high 20's in Gainesville and turned to snow. They actually didn't do too terribly, a little slippery but fared well. Then sun came out after lunch dried everything up and it was a great day.

Taught me a LOT about the tires! haha.

Has anyone else had their RS3s come unbalanced after a track day? I know they wear differently than street tires, but i seem to have to get mine balanced after every 2 days on the track.

Are they rotating on the wheel? That'll do it.

If you put a dab of shoe polish on the inside of the wheel, where the tire and wheel meet, you will see if the tires are slipping on the wheel.

Could be it. I'll check it out next track day

My RS3's were not the roundest tires in the world even when new, a rebalance helped but the big tread blocks make the tire shimmy a bit I think/maybe they're cheap for a reason in that they don't take as many pains to make balance perfect since they're mostly getting thrashed at drift events or whatever
