anyone running 255/40 18x9.5 & 275/40 18x10.5?
as title states looking to see if there is anyone running 255/40 18x9.5 (et 20) & 275/40 18x10.5 (et 25)? do you have rubbing issues and does the tire looked stretched?
i know i can get away with 265/35R18 and 285/35R18 with no issue but prefer a meatier looking setup and this reduces sidewall height 5mm from stock vs gaining 4mm with the 255/275. |

I have run 245/40/18 and 265/40/18 on 18x9.5/10.5. They looked and worked fine. Not as much rim protection. Now on 265/35 and 285/35. Thinking about 255/40 and 275/40 next. They would be fine.

from the left front tire, occasionally it rubs under braking while applying a slight left steering angle. also have heard rubbing at full lock turning left, while going downhill and under braking. my front wheels are 9.5j et22. no lowering, stock suspension. so the fit is very, very close, probably comes down to your luck.
it doesn't look very stretched, just slightly. |
