Trip computer distance longer than odometer?

Have you guys seen this before? My trip computer is about 50km more than my odometer, and my current km is 0.2 more than the odometer?

BMW Taiwan distributor assured me that they have no ability to reset the odometer, so I guess someone in BMW Germany took it out for a ride

I've read somewhere that the cars start their life with negative odo reading. They undergo final pre-delivery testing for a few miles/km so they can be delivered as close to 0 as possible.
I don't know this for a fact but could be the explanation. They may have forgotten to reset the trip computer.
Congrats on your new ride!

I understand if BMW needs to test drive, but 50km? And the funny thing is, the journey time is over 6 hour, so that must be one slow test drive, like under 25km per hour.

Anyways, BMW AG said they don't know what happened either, and Taiwan distributor said it must have happened in Germany, neither side is taking responsibility.

2014 BMW  [0.00]
Normal...
If the car had to go back for corrections after testing. Almost all manufactors go thru this. Most cars have 7-15km on them new, directly from the factory, not to mention driving onto the boat, off the boat to holding lot etc.
I would just enjoy!

It could be that the trip is on GPS and the Odometer is on the wheels. So maybe it racked up 50 slow KM on the transport vehicle.
