Comp pack wheels in BLACK

Hi guys, working on getting a comp car, but i honestly do not like the finish of the comp wheels.(I actually don't like the wheels at all, and trying to get my dealer to get me 343M's) but a few people have said these wheels look much better in person... so im willing to maybe give it shot. Want to do them in black. Anyone have pics of it?


i can't seem to find any. If you can find some mounted on a Sahkir orange car that would be great.

this guy has the exact car i'd be getting... if someone would be kind of enough to sloppily photshop some black on the wheels that would be terrific lol

Been following the drama with the car you ordered and read your post on getting a car from the West Coast.

I'm sure you're on it but Lauderdale BMW of Pembroke Pines has a New16' SO/Black with CP, EP, B&O and DA.

Giving you the heads-up in case you may have missed this.

I've never seen 601M's done in black or any pics.
Powder coating them in a low sheen black would look nice though.
I personally have the 343M's in black and I think they look great!!

343Ms are a better wheel. They're forged. Powdercoated mine graphite black.

yea those are the wheels i want... but after seeing that guys comp wheels sitting in the driveway in the link above.. i think i kinda like em. I'm not sure if my dealer is going to budge on swapping them out for me. I want them to pay for it. (I have my reasons)

Just in case they don't budge, i want to know how the comp wheels would look in black.


Jose, i haven't seen that one. will look now.. as bad as these sofla dealers are, some of them actually came CLOSE... to my cali guy, but none of them did could match. I'll look into this one right now though.

Also, how come you were not at our meet 2 weeks ago man???


edit, yea i've seen it.. i actually inquired about the one for 111k. Fort lauderdale came back with a lease quote of 30 bucks higher than my cali guy. And the cali car had an msrp of 7 more..

I had planned on going but was in Europe for work and didn't get back until Saturday afternoon; I was originally returning Friday but you know sh-t happens.

Will be at the next one for sure.

I found the comp wheels in OEM black to look good but IMHO only with a proper drop and the right body color to contrast. I have no desire to get any aftermarket wheel right now with my set up below (343's forged):

Go with your first instincts. Otherwise you'll probably be posting a WTB thread in the classifieds for 343m, lol. I've never liked the look of the comp wheels, regardless of color. The 343m just fit the M5 so well that I've not felt the desire to go aftermarket either.

I've had two after market sets of wheels and I agree the 343Ms are beautiful. I'm planning to go back to 343M.

Love the comp wheels, I've seen several in person and they look great especially on darker colors. The 343s are too similar to the regular m-sport wheels I had on my first F10. Then again...I'm also fond of the OG m-systems on lowered E34s http://criader.com/1993-bmw-m5/#photo_1 (though I had t-stars on mine)

I love the 601m's, but I think if they were completely black, they'd get lost. The spokes are so thin, I think all you'd see are brakes, no wheels. Regardless of body color.

I cannot do that, but I can tell you that a guy that lives down the street from me has an alpine white CP m5 with the black wheels and it looks very good. Basically his m5 is a carbon copy of my m4. I would, without a doubt, pick the 343M in black over the standard CP wheels (I have seen them in person and I do not like them). His car looks like Vic's, but without the drop.

EDIT: My favorite service dealer (Coggin BMW) has an M6 vert with the 343M wheels in sakhir orange. If you really want to see how this color looks with the 343M wheels, take a ride up to Coggin to check it out. It is about 1.5 hours from central broward. Here is the link so you can see the pics.
