Add Dinan Rear or Dinan X-Pipe?

I'm looking to do one or the other only. I can pick up a used Dinan rear for a good price or add a brand new Dinan X-Pipe to the stock exhaust. While I don't mind a bit more volume, I want something that sounds more interesting. My plan is to return the car to stock and sell the parts when I turn in the lease so the cost is a wash.

Another factor is I have to get an emissions test every year. So will the X Pipe cause any issues.

The X-Pipe will not cause any problems, because it connects after the secondary cats much like the MPE, the full dinan set up is CARB approved

My 2 cents is that if you just want a small increase in sound and a change in exhaust note, the muffler is the way to go!

F8X M3/M4 exhaust valves are electronic, not pneumatic.

I'll be selling a brand new Dinan Rear and Dinan X-Pipe here in the coming week (unopened, uninstalled), in case you were interested I could give a slight discount from buying new.
