Clutch stop effect for short driver?

hello all,
I have recently picked my 2017 ZCP M4 in 6MT. I am 5 feet 6 inches tall and my seating position is very near the wheel and all because i am short and have to reach the clutch pedal. I have read about clutch stops and everyone says it works well. my question is if i install the clutch stop will It benefit me in terms of being able to put my seat a little back?
would appreciate the feedback.

Adding the clutch stop probably won't require much, if any, seat adjustment. Either way it's something absolutely worth getting.

My wife is 5'4" and has never had a problem with any clutch in any car.

Do you now how to properly adjust your seat and steering wheel? The first adjustment is to move the seat forward or backward so that when your right leg is almost fully extended (slight bend in the knee) you can push the accelerator all the way to the floor with your foot flat on the gas pedal, heel at the base of the accelerator (no driving with your toes!). You should be able to easily push the brake all the way to the floor, same with the clutch.

Second adjustment, move the seat up or down so that your chin is above the top of the steering wheel.

Third adjustment, with your shoulders back in the seat, adjust your wheel in or out, and adjust your seat back forward or backward so that you can put both of your wrists on the top of the steering wheel. You want to try and be at least 10" from the airbag. From this position, you should be able to put both hands at the 9:00 and 3:00 o'clock position on the steering wheel and the arms will be bent at roughtly a 90* angle. When the wheel is rotated right or left, and your hand comes to the 12:00 o'clock position on the steering wheel, there should be a slight bend in your arm.

This is the same advice given to new teen drivers and to C and D level drivers at HPDEs.

My ex girlfriend is 5'2" and don't remember reaching for the clutch being a problem. Maybe scoot your steering wheel to the most forward position so you can get closer. i have the steering wheel furthest away from me as possible.

Would a clutch stop effect the rev match function. If you don't depress the clutch all the way will the rev match happen?

You don't have to press the clutch all the way to the floor for operation. The engage/disengage point is above that.

Never knew the clutch stop was worth it. Is there really that much of a difference?

I put a clutch stop in my wife's '11 335is Coupe within the first few months after we bought it and both of us immediately noticed the difference just by driving round the block. When I bought my '06 Z4 M Roadster in 2012, I immediately installed one.

I haven't seen anyone mention this for the F8x, but replacing the clutch delay valve with a modified valve in previous generations allows for a much improved clutch release. I installed a modified valve on my wife's car and determined that the previous owner has already installed it on my Roadster. I don't know whether the F8x has a clutch delay valve or not.

I know what it is and in my previous car I felt it. In M3 - doesn't seem like there is anything like that. They fixed issue by introducing rev-matching. In Sport+ it acts precisely (no delay, jerking, etc - just like supposed to be )

Thanks to this thread I'm $10 poorer. You all directly contributed to my wallet drain, I hope you feel good about yourselves. The clutch travel drives me nuts at times and completely forgot there was a stupid simple fix for it.

Curious how this turns out for you once installed. I'm 5'0 and have to sit with my seat all the way forward to comfortably use the clutch, but it's a bit closer than I'd like for the steering wheel and other pedals.
