Best ECU tune? Exhaust or Downpipes necessary?
Hey guys looking to take my car for a full serivce soon but after that I am looking at getting a tune for the m4. I really want all the crackle and pops similar to the m4 GTS.. my car is all stock so anything would be appreciated for advice on how to make it sound better. Going more for sound but if I can get power I'll take the power too.. I looked a little bit into hex tuning, and gintani tune but would prefer somewhere local to Orlando florida. Let me know if you have any recommendations. Thanks so much

The BM3 will give you that noise. Adding downpipes makes that louder as well. I would just do that tune with catless downpipes. Feel free to PM me if you need any help.

Vendor recommendations always are a bit suspect. If I were a vendor I'd recommend products with the higher margin or the better kickback to me.

@autotalent how many slave networks are you on?
@AJM1125 Are you aware that most tunes come from the same one or two sources selling a white labeled set of tunes? That said, it might come down to the User Experience you prefer. Hate using Windows? Limits your options. ...For example. |

Good to know. How many (if any) are friendly to Linux or macOS users who'd rather not dual boot or lug a VM around? Is it still zero?

bm3 runs on mobile (Android/iOS), in a browser with the obd agent on linux/unix/macos/windows. Pretty sure we could get the agent to run on AS400 mainframe too, not that you'd want to but it'd be pretty cool in a photo!

I had the Turner Tune and loved it, but wanted to see what Active 8 was about. Now I have that and wouldn't go back. Not that the Turner was bad, just the new Active 8 makes the power delivery smooth and comes on strong. The top end definitely seems to taper, likely to save spark plugs. But all in all awesome tune and I use it daily. Again I'm sure JB4 is just as good, and flash make better power. But I wanted a set it and forget it tune, with some solid gains. Hope that helps.

Are the VRSF downpipes any good? And it's a bolt on install or would wielding be required? Any significant sound gains with the initial start up?
