Same noise here...

Particularly when de-clutching first or second gear.
It does not happen when I feather the clutch g-e-n-t-l-y enough.

My car's only got 1,850 mi and the dealer seems to think the noise is normal clutch chatter. I'm not sure if this partly due to the infamous CGV at work, but I'll know in a few days when a modified CGV goes in.

regards

rob

I think I'd change the gear oil (Royal Purple or Redline) and see if it repeats. Having fresh oil (and better oil) is never a bad thing either...

Herman the German wants his car to have a deliberate gear shift, especially first to second. He doesn't want it slammed around like a common Mustang or ricer. You should shift accordingly.

I get the clunk noise on my 2007 Z4M when shifting, too. Is it normal?
