Evolve Tune W/ Aggressive backfire (Review)

Hello everybody, This is my review on the Evolve ECU tune.

The options I opted for:
Speed limiter removal
GTS DCT software
RPM limit increased to 8600
Overrun & backfire feature

Performance mods:
AFE intake
Akrapovic GT4 catless exhaust

I've had this tune for about four months now and I've loved every bit of it. It just made the driving experience that much better. Although I haven't dyno'd the car, it's noticeably faster, shifts are quicker(didn't think it was possible), and the exhaust note sounds much more crisp (less rasp and more exotic sounding).

I personally requested for an aggressive backfire tune because I'm obnoxious. After trying out many different files with Evolve, they finally nailed it and it's currently right where I like it. Good amounts of pops and crackles while letting off throttle, but not too crazy compared to Gintanti's tune. I know some of you think loud exhausts and popping/crackling can be childish and what not, but for those who do like it, it sounds pretty amazing and is f***cking addicting. And how can anyone hate flames shooting out the exhaust?!

Evolve makes working with them effortless, from purchasing the tune to uploading the file. Shipping was super quick, only took 3 days to receive the cable. They respond very fast through e-mail, I had sent them my data and received the tuned file within the same day. Overall, from purchasing the tune to uploading it onto my car took just 4 days. This tune is priced extremely well against its competitors and is worth every single penny!

I would like to personally thank the Evolve team, especially Mateen, for being so patient with me tweaking the tune to be exactly how I wanted it. I cannot be more appreciative because the tune literally transformed my M3 into a whole nother beast!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the backfire and popping only happens when you want it to! It's totally controllable depending on how high in the rpm you let off(louder pops) and how much you tap the gas pedal when rpm's are dropping(continuous pops). You can drive normally(shifting at 3-4k) and there will be absolutely no popping or backfiring. This is one of the main reasons I love this feature from Evolve. I don't want you guys to think I drive like that 24/7 lol

I originally purchased the evolve tune with the backfire option but I was afraid of it might roast my secondary cats so when I sent in my file I told them I'd hold on to that.. on the other hand, my friend has the same tune with backfire and he's loving it, looks really cool at night

Yeah it does sound pretty weird on the gopro. It's really muffled and sounds like popcorn. In person, they are louder and sharper pops, similar to gunshots.

Just got this backfire option flashed into my Evolve tune.... all i can say is it's porn... just perfect... only does it at heavy load and off throttle as well as downshifting under load... it's fre@k'n awesome... you guys should get this tuned in... you'll love it.!

i'll also add that I've really enjoyed this feature on my car. as previously stated, it's not every shift, depends entirely on rpm range which is nice. only "obnoxious" when you want it to be. much nicer sounding than the FI 6 cylinder fart noise you get in the F8x platform and B8 audi s4/5.
