Anyone going to the BMWCCA Autocross this weekend @ Qualcomm
I'm going to my first Autocross this weekend down in San Diego. Anyone here going? I need a little advice on how to setup my car (ie Tire Pressure).
Also any insight on what i can expect? |

My Helmet just arrived about half an hour ago. I got a Zamp RZ-2 (SA2005 and FIA approved). Fits like a glove. Steve at C2 Motorsports got that helmet to me overnight. Definitely a good guy to work with.

If I read right you are driving a M coupe That will put you with the big boy's in Super Stock (SS) class. Put a couple of extra pounds of air in the tires, hang on and have fun. I believe you will be back even if you get smoked. Autox is fun in a quick light sports car..

As for tire pressure, would 38/34, f/r respectively, be about right? I don't plan on doing to great, just there to have a lot of fun. |

Loads of fun! My friend gave me a ride in his GT3; f-ing amazing! I think i will be going to the LA Autocross at California Speedway too.
Going through the cones wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. Once i learned the track it was much easier. I wish we got more lap time though. When i had to work the track, it seemed like all of the other cars got so many more laps than the novice group did. I think this is going to start getting expensive because i think i'm hooked. Maybe i'll be investing in some new rims and r compound after a few more of these. |
