New owner in Switzerland - should I de-badge?

My M4 just arrived to the dealership and will be delivered tomorrow.

I went and had a look and man oh man, that only made things worse I'm not a patient fella.

While there I saw that the dealer forgot to add the "Model deletion" option and the car came with the M4 badge on the back.

I kinda wanted it to be without, but now I don't know.

Would you guys take it off, or leave it there?

Personally I've never been a fan of de-badging...especially if you have a badass car.

Totally subjective, though. Only you can decide...

Leave it on for a while and wait and see if you like it or not. You can easily remove it yourself later

I've seen people trying to convert a 318i into an M3 by putting a badge but removing an actual M badge for an M car?? seriously? why the heck would you want to hide the badge which shows what monster of a car you're driving? Leave it d00d!

As others said. Leave it.

It's a breeze to remove:
Painters Tape
Hair Dryer
Dental Floss

Off in 2 minutes flat.

Leave it. Never been a fan of the de-badged look. Car just looks naked without it.

I say take it off. Most cars I've seen in Europe are debadged, including M cars. I like the stealth look, although fans would be able to tell.

Your location shows you as being in Geneva and your dealer is in Lausanne As you know, European standards are different than here in the US, as many/most cars there are debadged so as not be be judged as ostentatious. As you stated, there's even a "badge delete" option for the European market. Asking a bunch of mostly Americans about whether you should leave it there or remove it probably isn't going to yield many answers that will take that into consideration.

You yourself said that you already had decided on the badge delete option, so why are you double-guessing yourself now? Besides, you can always easily remove it yourself later if you decide to keep it on now.

I removed my chrome badge, but immediately replaced it with the black CP rear badge.

Most people in Europe???? Mate I think not if you were behind that car in traffic do you really think it would be mistaken for a 320 or people would wonder what it was???

Order it with the badge, for the sake of having the badge and de-badge it yourself.
If you take the "Model deletion"-option, it still has a little M4 badge in the front grille btw.

I was going back and forward between this and an Alpina, the latter being more understated. Because of a very limited dealership network, and the M-car providing more 'joie de vivre', I have chosen the M, but I toned it down a little with the SSII and debadging the car.

Any enthousiast knows what car this is anyways. And the people that don't know, don't need to know... but that's just me. Clearly a bit atypical, I use my indicators as well.

Thanks for all the replies (and votes) guys / girls.
I think I'll leave the badge on for a while

My initial idea for ordering the debadged car was the cleaner look, but staring more at the photo, it doesn't look bad at all.

J'ai fait pareil pour les deux voitures que j'ai eu avant.

Thanks! Are you from Switzerland as well? Do you know if there is anything like the concept of "car meets" around here?

Well, you do have the M4 on the side and on the front grill
I was thinking of a "cleaner" back look - I think it's a bit like in the US, where people go out of their way to remove the front licence plate, even when that means paying fines

Double guessing maybe because I may have a guilty pleasure of seeing it there
