135I N54 turbos

Hello, where is best place to get cost effective replacement turbos, Im interested in the stock, do not want to upgrade unless price is competitive.

There is alot of information on n54 turbo replacement. I got quoted around 5-6k for replacing both turbochargers at a independent mechanic. Lol

Did that include cost of turbos? That's extremely high.

Yes including new OEM turbochargers. I'm sure you can find cheaper but like except to pay a hefty penny. :

Hello Im just looking to find out where to buy the most cost effective turbos, should I buy rebuilt if so who is best rebuilder are there any issues. Or should I buy new and from whom. I will do labor myself.

You should upgrade your turbos to at least stage 1. I'm almost positive anything you find online is a rebuilt turbo. After replacing mine with oem turbos only to have them still fail, I would not advise going oem when the price difference is negligible.

What happened with your OEM turbo replacements?

Also, anyone got an idea what the cost like to get a shop to replace turbos?

they failed again.

depending on the mechanics it's between 8-12hr job average rate is prolly 120hr.
