New MY2018+ M4 Executive Package Value

I jut placed an order for a MY18 M4.

I ticked the box for the Executive Pkg, mainly because I like the look of the new lights.

However, now I'm having second thoughts because the Pkg is essentially $2850 extra ($2100 plus 750 for the Park Distance Control) and I'm not sure I really need/want all those other options (other than the lights, wish they were a stand alone option.)

Looking for your thoughts and opinions on your use and perceived value on the other Executive Pkg options.

Thanks.

Totally worth it for me. The HUD is a game changer, I'll never not have it now. The nav is always nice to have. The quick save buttons 1-8 make nav to frequent locations very easy and convenient. Going through the phone is cumbersome and I hate doing it. Heated steering wheel is money for warm toasty hands even if it's not that cold outside. You want the full parking sensors too. Very nice. I had rear only sensors on my old M3, front sensors are great. I wish I had the full view camera package. Can't remember what else it is but I feel it's the only actual required package.

My only packages are exec and comp and lighting, and with 2018 you don't need the lighting anymore. Exec is a must, comp is individual choice, IMO.

Exec used to give you free extended leather, but it looks like that is no longer the case.

I opted for it since I wanted the PDC sensors (not a standalone option for '16), but if I was ordering an '18 I would skip it.

If had to do it all over again the only upgrade I would have gone with is the black rims. All the other stuff is cool but unnecessary. The car comes already well equipped.

Just make sure HUD works with your preferred brand of polarized sunglasses if you wear them. I couldn't see it with my Maui's.
Heated steering wheels make my hands sweaty after a few minutes.
I can park without sensors beeping at me all the time, very annoying!!!

That said I ordered without but should have gotten enhanced Blue Tooth.
Without it I get no communication notifications.

Still, given a do over, I would order the Exec Package and bought new sunglasses.

I specifically opted out of my 18 build. Don't need assistance and don't really care the HUD.

I did executive package on my car and would also order in future. If this was not a BMW, I would skip it on a non luxury brand car.

I opted exe package primarily for HUD. The exe pack came with extended leather in MY2016, so I didnt have to pay full price for Full Leather.

Definitely worth it to me. Love the HUD and with the lighting package now included, it is a no-brainer. Much better value than when I ordered my car.

My last 2015 F80 didn't have exec and my current 2017 F80 doesn't either. I love it with less gadgets. I'm a basic bitch.

However, since BMW decided to shove those sexy new LEDs in exec I would HAVE to go with that. That alone would make me get it; everything else in the package are all added bonuses.

Now that you get the LEDs with exec, no brainer to get it.

also, for resale value alone, the exec is well worth it.

Great feedback everyone. Thanks. I suppose I'll get the Exec. Pkg and enjoy all the goodies...

I ordered MY2018 with executive package. I have not received my car yet but I think it is worth it.

I like having the cameras and parking sensors. HUD is neat but honestly I could easily live without it and prob forget it's even there 99% of the time.

I would also get it again. I got a pair of non-polarized sunglasses for the HUD, which I really like having, in addition to LED. I also like the camera, PDC and auto high beams.

For the price you're paying for the car, an extra 2500 is really not much. With that being said, I would not get the car without it.

TBH if you are really in San Diego I'd prob still get it but not the no brainer it is for me up in Northern NJ. The heated steering wheel is money for cold mornings and the winter. HUD is really the star of the show however, its awesome.

Since backup camera is standard equipment, I'm most likely going to skip the executive package on my '18 order. I think the standard LED headlights look great and don't care for anything in the executive package.

Use that money for MPE instead.
