Steam from the hood?
This may be a stupid question, but I've never noticed this before.
I was on the highway with bumper to bumper traffic today, and it was raining. While I was inching along, I noticed what looked like steam coming out from the front of my car. Not the sides of the hood, but only the front (perhaps from the grills?). It wasn't a lot, but it was noticeable to me. My engine temp was normal, and I didn't smell anything burning at all. Then it stopped for a while, then it started again. After I got home, I opened my hood up immediately, and there was no smoke at all, no bad smells. My oil level was fine. Is this normal or should I bring my car into the dealer and have it checked out? |

Very strange that I've never noticed this before in all my years of driving. In fact, he never noticed it either! BTW, that leprechaun under my hood quit smoking two years ago, so I know it's not him. |

Happened when I drove a Honda CRV, I opened the hood to take a look, the moisture ontop of the engine block sizzles to clear steam (I threw on a little snow to make sure ). If its colourless and ordourless, it shouldnt be a problem.
