Not affiliated with the seller in any way -- just know how rare these are, so would just like to share with the community: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-BMW-Z4-...RZegw8&vxp=mtr

Would have to be desperate for red leather seats to pay that much for a pair!

Well, shipping is included in the price which I have to imagine is insanely steep for a pair of seats. Not having heat is a killer though if your seats already have it. That's a great feature to have on 50 degree, drop top sunny days.

If they had heat, I wouldn't have posted them up here...they'd be mine!

Wouldnt it just be cheaper to buy the skins through BMW? I recently priced out some new speed cloth skins for my M3, and through one of the online dealers it came out to a little under $1400 for front seats.

Probably. That doesn't help though if someone has a Z4 with the base non-sport seats and is trying to get a set of the sport M-seats. I'd love a set of the M seats in my '06 non-M coupe (light sepang please )

So about 7k/pair (I'm not kidding) That makes this look rather cheap doesnt it? Still these are in poor nick. Where I live (europe) these seats are normally way more expensive than in the US, and I see over here 2 pair for sale for about €2k, but in better nick.

Oh yeah, in the case of needing the entire seat assembly for an upgrade, that would be ridiculously expensive to go new.

It also probably needs a new seat cushing foam and a seatbelt reflector.
Point is, they need considerable work. That makes them too expensive imho

Going (slightly) off-topic - are those dye kits just for re-dying back to the same color or could a complete color change be done? Is it possible (realistic) to dye black seats to something approximating light sepang or would the seats just end up looking like ass?

From what Ive heard the leatherique kit can effectively change the color of a seat, and do a damn good job of it. I recall seeing a video of a guy with some E36 vader seats doing a really good job, |

Looking for a set of these in black with manual adjustments. Can't seem to find any anywhere. Any idea what the going price is these days?
