Loud DCT noise when lifting at high RPM?

I get a loud thud or thunk noise when I let off gas during high RPM. There's a pretty brutal kick in the back and a very loud gear shifting sound. Sounds like the whole chassis is trying to hold itself together. Is this normal or am I driving this car wrong? This happens if I don't shift fast enough and let off gas early before the next gear.

The best way I can describe it -- it feels and sounds similar to manual cars when your dropping the clutch in high rpm.

This is why it's best to lease.

Sounds like it's confusing the DCT,, if you run the rpm up then let of to quick.. it was probably going to the next gear and no load,, that will make I do that ,,

If you going to run it hard ,,,,drive it like you stole it!

Or just baby it.. not in between!!

I've only heard that once: Downshifted and hit the gas hard at mid-RPM, then had to quickly get off the throttle. Think it was the "on / off" that confused the DCT.

Otherwise have not experienced this.

Cheers

It happens if you let off throttle in high rpm and shift almost at the same time. I think I'm still too used to a manual...

Don't lift. Shift while on throttle. That is the way the DCT is set up to shift.
