Tricks for Popping out the Cup Holder?

One of my cupholders in my Z4M is jambed shut and I've played with it for a bit but can't seem to get it unstuck. Any tips or tricks for getting there out?

Push and shake it.

Yeah tried that....no luck so far. Trying to find the balance between getting it open and not breaking it. Then again I've never used it.

Try using a screwdriver wrapped in a rag to apply some outward pressure while you try to get it unlatched? My driver side cupholder arm (the part that holds the drink) snapped off the first day I got my car when I went to close the cupholder after marveling that I had one there.

Thanks will try it. It's not a good location to put it...when I first saw it I thought "That thing won't last a month...I'll wind up breaking it with my knee getting in or out of the car"
