BMW performance 269 alloy wheel refurb
Hi
Need to get my performance 269 alloy wheels refurbished. They have the black BMW performance lettering on them on the rim, which from what I can tell is a decal under the lacquer. Have been told by a couple of refurb places that they can't reinstate as they have tried before and the hot lacquer damages the new decal underneath. As they are diamond cut I obviously need to get the whole wheel stripped. Has anyone had any experience with this, as I really want to keep the BMW performance lettering? Is it definitely a decal or painted on under the lacquer? Also toying with the idea of getting the wheels powder coated rather then diamond cut as the corrosion will likely come back through, but I do love the diamond cut finish. Anyone had their 269's silver powder coated before as I would be interested to see what they come out like. |
