Mirror Cap Removal

Has anyone around nova ever taken off their mirror caps? I'm having a helluva time getting mine off. I'll deliver a case to anyone who can pop em off like they magically do in the EAS how-to vid :/

I just looked up the DIY and wow, it looks pretty easy. Maybe have someone else hold the mirror the opposite way while you yank out the cap? Also, you should probably try it after the car has been sitting under the sun all day, and tape all around just to be safe
As a last resort, maybe use plastic trim removal tools wrapped in tape.

I wish I was closer so I could help. GL

From everything I've read, they are a pain to remove and usually a clip breaks. In one of the threads, everyone pretty much said EAS made it look way too easy when in fact it isn't.

I did mine I started at the opposite end than they do in the video. They actually came off pretty easy using a trim tool. Trust me I was nervous.
