Anyone know exactly what the warranty, years/miles, on a 05' Z4 is????

I believe it is the standard 4 years (after the date of purchase)/50,000 miles

4yrs from date of sale/delivery to owner or 50,000 miles which ever comes first

Thanks, seems she has a few issues that I need to find out if equiped or has failed, ie panic alarm inop, top won't open with key and that pain of plastic cup holder broke.

top will only open/close if you keep the key turned in the keyhole.

and the cupholders suck lol

i'm thinking he means top down from the key if you tap and then hold the door open button. what is the build date on your car? i've heard only the later build 05's have this

Yeah and I would say 99% of the Zeds out there do NOT have the factory alarm installed, which is needed for the panic.

Easy way to test this is to see if it makes any sound when you lock unlock or if the lights just flash. If the lights flash with no sound you have no alarm, and hence no panic.

BMW USA can check your warranty status with the last 7 digits of your VIN (BMW Bank of North America 1-877-BMW-3655)

To open the top with the key, you can do it either through the keyhole (counter clockwise and hold for open, clockwise and hold for close) or do it through remote (open only, press unlock then press and hold unlock until top fully opens)
