The question is whether it will have a DCT option or full auto like the F90 M5.

The manual M3 and M4 seem to have pretty healthy sales in the US. I suspect they will remain available here. Whether they are offered in other regions will depend on sales performance in those regions. It sounds like they are not very popular in Germany and other European nations, so it is very possible they will no longer be offered in those countries next generation.

I strongly suspect we are in the final generation of the DCT. The planetary automatic now offers close enough performance for the DCT to no longer be necessary. I believe the DCT is still more efficient, but that matters more for smaller non-performance applications, hence why we are seeing BMW actually moving away from the planetary automatic to the DCT for UKL products.
