Forbes Auto Report

Forbes Magazine is reporting that the Z4, both Roadster and Coupe, is owned and driven by more women then men, 61% v 49%.

, that's not right cause if you add the two percentages, you get 110%, that just proves that Forbes magazine is wrong, incorrect, and ignorant.

My math error, they said 61%, I was in a state of "what the...." when I typed the 49 ilo 39%. Still hard to believe.

Can't really trust those things. They're biased because women are more likely than men to fill out surveys on which many of these statistics are based.

I've heard this said a few times now, but I don't think I've seen any women z4 drivers. Then again, I don't look out for z4s so don't see too many.

Does anyone know the male to female split across the different engine sizes and the M? Just curious.

It would be pretty interesting if we could get the demographics of the Z4, male vs female Z4 owners.

I'm sure BMW would have the most accurate data on that based on their database of BMW owners. It's just a question of getting that info!

I see more men driving Zeds than women period. I have seen 4 coupes in Iowa (all owned by men) and many more verts, only about 4 of them driven by a woman.

I don't know about exact percentage and all, but Zs are one of those sports cars many women own.

Around my area I tend to see more men driving z4's. The statistic doesnt really matter though, it doesnt make me enjoy my z4 any less.

It's the Miata phenomenon - I keep hearing that's a chick car, but all i ever see is 60-something guys with driving caps reliving the days when they had an MGB.

Go to a Pro Solo, auto-cross, sometime and see how many women are there. You might be supprised if you haven't been lately.

I have spent half my time in the Tampa-Clearwater, Florida area the last two years and I see Z4 roadsters driven mostly by women. In my hometown of Montreal, I have yet to see a woman drive a Z4, M or non-M.

I regularly see three M roadsters, all driven by women. Intermittently see two coupes (non-m), one is driven by a woman, one a man. There are at least 4 other non-m roadsters around my area and they are 50/50 on drivers.

I still have YET to see a single Z3 or Z4 driven by a woman. I really wonder how much those numbers would change depending on where you take the stats.
I see more woman drive Miatas then men do, but rarely have I seen women drive Bimmers asides from the X3's & X5's.
