Calling all MD M's

It's time for a Meet, and a drive.

Before June is done, we will attempt to do 2 early morning fun, casual drives. An early morning, pre-Cars&Coffee drive leaves us the rest of the day to be with wives/girlfriends, kids, fathers (it's Father's Day on June 17), or whatever else. Plus, there's less traffic first thing in the morning.

One will be next Sunday, June 17th. We will meet in the Annapolis area at 630am, drive some route that I'll have to figure out before then in the Annapolis/Edgewater/Shady Side area. We'll make it back into Downtown Annapolis by 830am so we can get some parking at the Annapolis C&C before it gets too crowded.

The second one will be Saturday, June 30th. We will meet in the Hunt Valley area at 700am or so, then drive for a few hours through Baltimore County. Then we'll make a Grand Entrance at the Hunt Valley C&C around 10am, rolling in together.

For these drives, it's come one, come all....all Ms are welcome from any generation. And if you come, please download the Zello walkie-talkie app, because that's how we're going to communicate during the drive.

Later this summer, I hope to plan a Meet with the DC, Richmond and Northern VA M cars, maybe in Fredericksburg or somewhere.

I'm thinking of a Meet at Hunt Valley Cars & Coffee one Saturday, and then we roll out from there over into the Northern MD Hills for a few hours. Or, maybe we meet early, like at 7am, drive early, and then end at the Hunt Valley C&C around 930am. Saturday June 30th?

Or, a Sunday Morning drive at like 7am outside of Annapolis, and then we end up at the Annapolis Cars & Coffee around 930am for their gathering. Sunday June 17th?

An early morning drive leaves us the rest of the day to be with wives, girlfriends, kids, family, or whatever.

So, where is everyone? BB, Who's On 1st, Eal, M4Convert, XLST, Jschweig, etc. It's time.
Kevin, where've you been? Did you get another M?

I've never been to Annapolis cars and coffee. I'd be down for the 17th idea.

Saturday cars and coffee... in hunt valley will bring about 200+ cars... a majority of them being high end cars... Annapolis cars and coffee is much smaller, with about 50 cars (atleast today) just fruit for thought. I’m looking forward to cruising and meeting new people, I can do either day! Kevin, it was great seeing you today at Annapolis cars and coffee!

Let's do it on the 17th...next Sunday. I'll set it up for a 630am meetup, and I'll figure out where we can go in and around the Annapolis/Edgewater/Shady Side area. We'll try to be back into Downtown Annapolis for their Cars & Coffee by about 830am, so we can get parking spots.

AND, we're also going to do it on Saturday the June 30th. We'll meet in the Hunt Valley area about 730, and then will drive for a few hours, to make it back in Hunt Valley around 10am for our Grand Entrance. I'll update the first thread.

Good seeing you too, Rob...

Hunt Valley is usually cleared out by 10 and the lot is pretty full by 8, unless it's changed in the last couple months. I'd be in for the 30th tentatively.

Hunt Valley CNC will be all wrapped up by 10am. If you guys want to all park together, You need to meet roughly at 7-730am at the Outback then roll in together. If you want the prime spots.

Annapolis fills up way early in the morning in the summer if the weather is good. A large group wanting to park together there needs to be parked at I'd say 730. We got way lucky that one time.

Hmmmm OK

Let me rethink the times then. Maybe for both Annapolis and Hunt Valley, we arrive early, meet for a bit at the C&C....and THEN drive afterwards, getting an early start (like rolling out for the drive around 930 or so).

Annapolis is a good time, but can get packed if the weather is nice. I was down there yesterday and cars were still leaving around noon.

Also the 17th is Father's day....I am in for the 17th but will be out of town on the 30th.

I wish I could make it but I already signed up for driving tour this Saturday with the local BMWCCA chapter. I always see few F8x and plenty of interesting other cars, and the planned routes are usually pretty nice (traffic and weather permitting).

There is also a social event going on this Thursday around 6pm at BJ's brewhouse in Columbia MD, so it's worth checking out.

We're meeting Sunday morning, and the BMW Drive is on Saturday. So....

And I work in Columbia, so I actually may stop by on Thursday after work, for the CCA social event. Thanks for the heads-up.

I look forward to hearing about the BMW Drive, because I may sign up next year. This Saturday, I'm already busy in the morning.
