Did I get a lemon?

My car is two weeks old only, and engine sounds like crap on idle - there's whiny sound with rough rotating sound , it sounds like 10 years old car.
Engine coolant light is on - It came on a day later my delivery and nearby BMW dealer found that coolant was almost empty and filled up one FULL bucket but light is still on.
My heater doesn't blow hot air, but only cold to cold/warm air even at a blast on hottest setting.

I thought all the bad things people talk about bimmer were just goships but it seems like i'm going to have a PITA car...

You can have the dealer take back the car under lemon laws and hopefully exchange for a new one.

The Z4 really is a great car.

Yes, I ordered my car from factory and it had 5 miles when I got it.

Sounds like no one did the QA inspection. If the car has been running low on coolant in the engine is screwed the dealer should replace it. It's THE DEALER'S responsibility to make sure the car is good to go before they deliver it to you.

+1 I got mine in September and haven't had a single issue (besides with the stealerships)

I would look into the local lemon law and see if you can get that sucker fixed up really well or replaced. It might help to take it to a second dealership for another opinion, the one that sold it to you might just not want to replace it.

BMW cars are awesome, the dealerships leave much to be desired IMO.

Be patient and try not to let your emotions take over (even though you want to kick some well deserved butt). Start a log of who you talk to and times of discussion and what was promised by who. Trust me this is a pain but it will help you if things do not get fixed right away. Good luck.

A new motor vehicle is presumed to be a lemon if it has one or more defects that continue to exist after three attempts at repairs, OR after the vehicle has been out of service for a total of 20 cumulative calendar days. The Lemon Law requires that the consumer write to the manufacturer giving notification of one last chance to repair the defect (see page 3 for more information about this process). I'm taking my car to the dealer for them to go through my car in detail tomorrow, and hope to get my car back in good shape or else I think I'm going to try to get out of my lease before it troubles me more.

Check all fluids/pressure ETC before driving it off the lot. It's your responsibility to assume the dealers are ignorant apes.
