Brake Light Flasher

I had a brake light flasher that was previously installed on my Elise that I installed in my M Coupe tonight. Driving in Atlanta any help I can get to prevent someone from plowing into me while talking on a cell phone and putting on make-up, I'll take it.

The vendor I purchased the module from is doing another group purchase here if anyone is interested:

Here is the video from my car tonight (I also have an installation write-up on my Z4M web page that I will post here later):

That's horrible. It looks like you're pumping your breaks. The light pulsates so slowly it doesn't convey a sense of urgency - rather it makes it appears you're just tapping your breaks. I think it sends mixed signals. I more rapid pulse would be ideal.

i see someone pumping their brakes in front of me, i'm on mine immediately, so if i was following him, it would be effective.

1. I like it, it seems like it would serve its purpose well.
2. A more rapid flash pattern could possibly give people seisures.
3. Having a Brake light flasher module and pumping the brakes is two different things, namely the adaptive brake lights that the facelifted Z4 has, when your stoping FAST a second set of brake lights light up. Therefore eliminating the need for a flasher, but in a city such as Atlanta, I could see where a Z owner would want to protect their investment from some loony that probably dosent have insurance.

I would like to have one but I live in a rural area so I have no need for one.

My '03 has the brake force indicating feature as well, but they take some extra force from my understanding, so they won't do it every time you brake. From the manual:
> Normal braking:
Brake lamp 1 lights up on both sides of
the vehicle together with the center
brake lamp
> Forceful braking and braking with ABS:
Brake lamps 1 and 2 light up on both
vehicle sides together with the center
brake lamp.

Or did you mean something else?

In my previous post I was referring to the following driver's impression. If I see a blinking light, whether it be pumping brakes or a flashing brake light, then i'll be off the gas and ready to brake anyway.

hmm this is very interesting. it would be sweet if i could get it to blink faster under hard braking. or to become faster as coming to a stop. either way this is a awesome mod.

anyone figure it out for the roadsters..let me know.
