Ask the dealer

Hey I am in the East bay and I would recommend you ask you Sales Associate who know BMW M3/M4 about tire shops.

I found most BMW dealer alway has a few Sales Associate who are a real BMW enthusiast and track their cars. Theses guys have special place they go for tires and modifications.

Ask around. You will be surprised who you find. Or you can get them from TireRack and have a local shop install it.

I personally go to WDgarage in Fremont for my tires. They have a very good machine and their techs are well trained with low profile.

I’ve done Yokohama ad08r, Bridgestone re71r, Toyo Tires, etc

It sounds crazy, but having comparison-shopped for tires quite a bit I actually found my dealer service (Peter Pan) to have the best deals. I can't figure out why they would do this, but I guess they see it as extra business on top of maintenance?

Otherwise, Les Schwab is great. Not the cheapest but somewhat competitive and they have the best service by far.

Where in the Bay Area are you from? I've always taken my cars to AVN in Alameda.
Great guys and I'm in and out really quickly. They charge me prices from TireRack sometimes less.

After reading this thread, and on the recommendation of FourPtDrift, I had 275/295 PS4S fitted on my M4 at BRRacing in Los Gatos.

The wider tires completely changed the way the car drives. (note- 275 may rub on an M3, but not an M4)

Buy online save a ton get it mounted and balanced at your favorite tire shop
My personal experience is America's tire
They don't damage the wheels and it's $25/ to mount and balance
Slip the tech a $20 he'll do the best job

Elite Performance in Burlingame works on a lot of F80/F82s!
I take my car there all the time for tires and other work.

I've been taking my cars to BRR for years (Audi & BMWs) and these guys are really great, and really know their stuff! Anything from tires to full mods, BRR can take care of you!

I will be heading to BRR later this week. They have a "touchless" mounting machine -- will be interested to see if it truly won't leave any marks on the rim.

They are also a TireRack dealer and offer the same prices as on the TireRack website.

Les Schwab is like the Kaiser of tire shops. They only carry Les Schwab branded tires.

But I've never asked, do they allow you to bring in your own tires for mounting/balancing?
