Transmission temperature error pop up

Hello all. Sorry for repost this issue again. my 2012 M3 e93 with 51k miles on it with dct. Recently the transmission temperature error message pops up around 10 minutes after driving. It pops up 2 seconds then goes away. If I keep driving it would turn out transmission overheat. When the transmission temperature light came on, the upshift reduce power. When this warning goes away, everything works normal. Anybody had this issue before? There is no leak on dct. Is it just some sensor wrong? And sometime I could smell something like burning inside my car recently . My friend helped me check the bottom of my car but couldn't see any leak also. So he thought the smell might came out from gearbox.

I don't want to bring it to dealer before I figure out. Thanks in advance. Really appreciate.
