agreed...i didn't know it and probably wouldn't have paid the dealer for it had it been an option, but i have it in my car and love it every time i touch the controls. huge huge difference

Ditto!! It was spec'd on my car when I bought it and now that I've had it, the ordinary controls feel so plastic!!. When I hop in my wife's X5, I really notice not having the ceramic controls. Damn you BMW!! You've found another way to extract more coin out of me!

Yeah, for me it was never a big deal until I had experienced it.
A few years ago, I had a loaner 550i while my 335i was in service for it's 4th HPFP in The States. That 550i had a HUD and ceramics... I never went back - I need those now. lol |

The ceramic controls are nice - worth the few extra bucks to spec the car with them.
