Just at a quick glance and with the knowledge of average labor time on the east coast. We've done a few builds almost as heavy as that (minus axles and built bottom end). The bill usually tallies up around 25k just for: Turbos, Clutches, PI, Exhaust, Tuning, Meth. |

Approximately $35k in parts. Biggest costs in parts are the turbos, PI and custom head work. Those three items alone are in the $15k ballpark. You can save about $2k if you do a pocket port instead of full port and use OEM head bolts. We are expecting approximately 160+/- labor hours and another 8-10 hours dyno tuning/tweaking so depending upon the labor rate $60k+/- if all goes smoothly.
FYI my warranty is still intact and I am just too impatient to wait for it to end. With this level of build and investment I really don't see the need to wait for the warranty to end in my opinion but that's a personal choice. It's peanuts in the big picture. It's the old saying if you want to play you gotta pay lol. |

Don't me to sound daft, this is a legit question as I had a Mustang a while back that made me worried to mod anything after that! |

Have you thought about going with the Kratos turbos? They seem like a lot better turbo especially for what you're planning on doing. I feel that the stock manifold is extremely restrictive. Based on their dyno results, I think they might be a better option.
Just my .02 cents... Good luck with the build. I'm super excited to see the results. |

gman_newyork and for a second I thought this was another build thread for a front lip and some stickers.
Good to see you are jumping all in with the mods and covering off the critical areas. Wish you all the best in the build and looking forward to the results!!

Sounds fun I wish my build started about a month sooner so I could have attended the next Wannagofast event in mid April. I underestimated the time required for the build as I've never built a car to this level. It's already been quite the journey and learning on the fly. Luckily there are some really passionate people on this platform that helped me a lot. I still have plenty to learn and the motor isn't even out yet!!

Have you considered the Kratos turbo offering? I'm pretty confident that for a half mile setup they will yield impressive results when compared to the pure S2+ offerings; my reason being the larger turbines will allow more flow on an extended gear pull in the half. I have ran multiple setups over the years and the biggest dynamic benefit was when I bumped up the turbine size.
When you have a turbine which can handle the flow say when you switch gears all the added heat and exhaust pressure which has built up will essentially make your power lower in each progressive gear. As a simple example say you have an average of 900whp through your powerband in 3rd...your average will drop to 850whp in 4th...800whp in 5th...as an example on a choked up curve where torque is falling off and say horsepower is flat (this is how the pure s2 and s2+ dyno curves are). You want horsepower to keep climbing and torque to remain relatively flat. Anyways should be a fun setup and I would caution you away from some of the more radical thoughts such as the drexler diff/t400. The interchiller seems a bit silly to me as well but I understand the benefit. TKT2SPEED has a great setup and iirc has hit 178+? in a true standing half mile. I have mad respect for a true daily driveable street car setup like his.

As for the Interchiller, if it does what I want it to do regarding IAT'S then I think it's a good mod for people living in hot climates. My IAT'S are consistently 110°+ due to the climate. It definitely won't hurt anything but my wallet. Yes TKT2SPEED is the half mile record holder and has offered up a friendly competition to see who gets to 180 mph first. At the end of the day I just want to enjoy the journey and daily drive it |
