So here goes, I have a 2013 f10 LCI, 46k and owned for a couple of months and I love it, however, the other day it can up with the error message "parking brake error" and it stopped working, switch the car off and on and it works, drive down the street, brake and ping fault again.

Now yesterday, was driving fairly hard and ping, "increased steering effort" and steering goes heavy. Now weather in the UK with rain has been sever and the car has been parked up so not sure if it's water, but it has also been accelerating a little lumpy to the point it went into limp mode with the error "drivetrain" I've cleared the code and said their was a misfire on cyclinder 4, I've emptied the fuel tank, filled with v-power and it seems much better but still have the constant issue with handbrake and steering????

Any help would be appreciated!

Greetings! Welcome to the party. Based on my research on the forums, the lumpy acceleration could be due to a dirty MAF sensor; try cleaning that and see if it helps. Have no clue on the parking brake though. Does it happen when the auto start/stop feature activates?

That's a good idea with the MAF sensor, no that feature is deactivated

One of the bolts for the park brake actuator fell out on my car randomly and caused it to malfunction. New bolt and resetting park brake fixed that.

Before you head down a path, it's alway great to have an OBD II readout when diagnosing...and starting with the simple things

Check your battery charge as well. These cars start throwing exotic malfunctions when the battery is low...
