Argh! Some lady hit my car while parked!
Arghhh!
Darn! Some lady hit me car while I was parked at a grocery store! Luckily I was walking out when I saw her. She totally was trying to ignore the situation. Anyways, she started calling me a horrible person for not letting her just go and that I'm going to cause her a lot of paperwork. She started freaking out which in turn caused me to take a blurry picture of her insurance info. Her freakout made me so uncomfortable that I even forgot to take her DL info. I thought I took a clear picture of her ins card and just left the scene. Anyone know how to make a blurry photo legible? I attached a cropped picture of the insurance card that doesn't have her info. If someone can make that legible, I'll be in your debt! Damage to my car is minimal but not something I can just let go! I even have dash cam footage of her! Crazy lady. |

What good is the insurance card without her information? Did you get a picture of her car or license plate? Maybe the grocery store has a camera.

That sucks man... Wouldn't it be better to eat that cost? Insurance may report that as an accident on your Carfax.

If you can keep pics and print them out to put with the insurance work you'll have a better chance overcoming Carfax report ding. But I'd at least consider OOP cost first before just going to through insurance. |

I actually just buffed the car myself and it doesn’t look bad but there is a long dent that is visible at an angle. Just feels so wrong thats why I want to go through her insurance. I even have the dash cam footage of her hitting me

I have a blurry picture with her insurance info. I should’ve checked But I wanted to get out of there. She was getting hysterical. I have her car and plates on dash cam Video and I’ll submit it to the adjuster on Monday but it seems like the car she was driving wasn’t the one that i could make out on the insurance card.

Yea thats what I will do. The hysteria was one of those ones that she would lie saying you hit her or something. Thank goodness for my dash cam. Crazy old lady

This is exactly why I have them in all of my vehicles and encourage everyone to start installing them. One of the first things I do whenever I get a new car, leased or financed.

Screw that lady. While you kind of blew it and should have responded to her hysterics by just calling the cops (and making her even more miserable), now you should file this and have your insurance do the work. It’s why you pay them.

Yea, thanks everyone about the advice on calling the cops. I should've just done it, but really thought that it wasn't necessary for such a small damage and no one was hurt. I don't know, the more I think about it, I feel bad for her. Doesn't mean I'll not fight her insurance to get my car repaired well, but I'm very fortunate to drive such a special car and she probably was just a frazzled old woman that needed to go the grocery store. Bah. I speak with the adjuster on Monday, so fingers crossed this all works out! |

It would be at this point where I would more than go out of my way to be a horrible person to this bitch and make sure she does more than a lot of paperwork. What an entitled wench.
