New ride.... 11,000 miles.... 1 previous owner :)

Feelin pretty fortunate with a new purchase all considering...

2011 e93 w/ 11,000 miles
1 owner, cleanest CARFAX I've seen in a while
82msrp... paid 29k out the door.

A founder/member of MN bmw club told me this ride could fetch 45-50k on "bring a trailer"! Is that true?

Anyways... definitely not selling her. I'm blown away with this car. It's prob my favorite ride in the fleet.

Carefully modifying her.
-New mich 4s tires
-full eventuri system (all 3 chunks)
-dinan front strut bars, axle back exhaust, tranny tune
-new oem m steering wheel
-swapping brushed alum with full CF (not oem- the other company that sells a kit for $1300)
-about 2k in painted trim and "essentials" from iND lol
-BimmerTech amp - stock hifi speakers handle it, significantly improved
-BimmerTech back up cam and hopefully a CarPlay solution that Nelson is working on
-new oem battery
-all new filters, fluids, anything with an ounce of wear replaced

That's about it for now lol

What ya guys think? These pics are from just a couple days after the enclosed trailer dropped her off... what a car!

Clean car, and a great deal! When you say OTD, does that include tax/licensing? But I don’t think any E93 will fetch $45K+, fwiw.
Upgrades are good choices too. Congrats!

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen... Bmw really nailed it with this car... I absolutely love it..

29k is dealer fees and enclosed trailer ride from Houston to Minneapolis

Have to register her shortly and pay tax to get plates in MN ...

Car had orig tires...! so had to drop $1600 the next day but thats an upgrade and I would have done it anyways.. haha

I agree that a conv wont pull nearly the same $$ as a coupe. But still I was shocked he told me that.

Immediately allowed myself to justify 10k in parts right off the bat lol

Car will have a great 2nd life and I'll keep her prob till I fall over and hit the dust.

That's a pretty good deal, even for an e93. What a waste... some poor bastard barely got to enjoy their car.

Lol so true...

Trust me.. I'm enjoying it... I'm OCD on keeping the cars in like new condition. car won't see rain or a car wash ever again. Neighbors think I'm nuts hand washing cars in 45 degree weather.

I find myself watching random YouTube videos of e92 gts rip around on the Nuremberg track until 4am...

Hell of a car. Amazing what it can do with a real driver behind the wheel!

Amateur question...

Do you guys shift her in N and use the e-brake? Or can you turn the car off in gear which turns into park (x5m)

Between the x5m, e60 m5, and this new ride they are all different..

Glanced at the owners manual and i couldn't find a definitive answer (didn't look that hard)lol

I put it it neutral and set the enrage and it goes into park. It will put itself into park if you just shut it off. It will also shift into neutral if you try to open the door when in reverse or drive.

Excellent.

Thank you PrimeBeef.

Definitely know about opening the door and her locking up.... done that 100 times in the x5 reversing a big trailer at night.. hit my nuts on the steering wheel, truck rocks back and fourth, look like a drunk..

I just wanted to make sure turning her off in drive (after the clutches fully disengage) is ok for the tranny.

Appreciate the tip brother.

Hell of a pick up for that price!

How do you like the back up camera?

Also, interested in hearing about the CarPlay solution. Any more details?

Still need to install it. Looks like a bitch...

Waiting for the CF trim to come as I'll be ripping the dash apart and want to avoid doing that more than I have to.

Assume the CarPlay system will be similar to their mmi retrofit systems...

If you look overseas some options like that are already in the marketplace for the e9x

If it was a sedan it would be worth a bit more.

Convertibles are less desirable to enthusiasts therefore $30,000 seems to be the right value.

convertible. DCT. it's a good but fair price.

as soon as you start modding it, it's going to be worth much less.
