Hi All,
I just got my BPM Stage1 and a set of Hi-Flow Cats. Now I can't get my Conti 5Ps in 295/30/19 to hold grip. Anything over 3K RPM and half throttle and they break loose. Before the Stage1 tune I could hold grip.

I have a set of used Eibach Euro V1 lowering springs planned for install. Now the grip issue has me thinking I need to switch to MP4S with 305s in the rear. My rear wheels are BBS CI-R 10.5 ET35 no spacers, and pics below show Conti 5P 295s on STOCK springs (base model with EDC).

My question:
MP4S 305/30ZR19 is made for an 11in rim width. I have a 10.5 rim CI-R (exact same fit as the $$$ FI-R). Will the 305 fit properly without rubbing when Euro V1 springs are installed? The springs have 30K miles already, so they will sit low from day 1.

Who's made it work?

-TopJimmy

I’m running PS4S in 305/30-19 on 19x11et40 with -1.8 deg of camber on the rear and there’s just a few mm of clearance. The PS4S has a square shoulder and runs wider than the Conti 5P. On a 10.5et25 you’d have to run an excessive amount of rear negative camber. If you’re looking to maximize traction then that means you want to run as little camber as possible (-1.5 to -1.8 deg) otherwise there’s no point in running a 305 with -3 to -4 deg of camber because the majority of the contract patch wont even be touching the ground.

M3SQRD,
Thanks for the info. I don't want to negative camber for clearance.

Other BBS Owners,
Anyone successful getting MP4S 305/30/19 on a 10.5in rear FI-r or CI-r with mild drop springs, without rubbing or negative cambering? Even if you have 20in BBS it should be similar spacing.

I've got 305-30-19 RE11 on an 11inch wheel +35. Lowered on Eibach V2. Camber is -1.6.

No rubbing.

You will not be disappointed man! The tires really help with the grip issues, and the look . Anyway, lmk if you have any questions!

Ps4s provide so much more rear grip compared to pss or conti’s that it shifts the balance of the car towards understeer... most guys running a lot of tire stagger with ps4s have complained that it took away from steering feel/turn in... I would be wary of running any more than stock stagger (275/295) not only does this fit your wheels better w/no concerns of rubbing but the car will handle better with stock camber too

What front tire size are you running? Currently I'm running 275/30/19. I need a larger diameter size so I'm curious what you're doing.

Running 265/35/19 at +20, stock camber I think about -1.5. No Rubbing.

That's 20mm taller (on diameter) than the 275/30.

Car really needs more front tire though.
