F83 Convertible - Invert Top Switch w/ SmartTop not working.. coding?
Installed the SmartTop for my F83 Convertible. Had one on my E93, it is a must have if you have CV.
http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/in...de=view&id=140 After updating and initial install it worked flawlessly. However a week later and after some other, non-related coding, it began working inconsistently or not at all. Reflashed the unit and everything works now except for the 'Invert/Reverse' capability for the Convertible Top switch. Despite changing the settings on the SmartTop module to Factory setting or Inverted; it remains in the Factory setting (push down for top up and pull up for top down). Would any coding on the Front electronic module (FEM) affect or block the invert setting for the SmartTop module? Specifically looking at the FEM (3053): FH_CABRIO_VERDECK_MODUL etc code. I don't know how the non-related coding would effect the SmartTop. Thanks for the help! Robert |

Why do you consider it a must have? I would definately like to not have to hold the button down and also be able to engage the top from a distance, but I think it's better to have these for safety, is there any other benefit?
