What do you use post Paint Correction
I am getting a paint correction done on my 2008 E92 M3. It is Sapphire Black.
I am not going down the road of ceramic due to costs. Is there anything you suggest instead at a lower price point to get that ceramic look and protection? What do you use to increase water beading and dirt penetration. This car is my daily driver so it needs to be simple enough and not too time consuming to do. |

I applied the first application with this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081489MTX/ref=dp_cerb_2 now after every wash, i reinforce the layer with what jerezblack posted. it is literally effortless. you just spray every panel after you've washed the car and then rinse it off. the rinsing step spreads the wax. It has incredible water beading action. After the rinse i go over the car with a leaf blower and 80% of the water effortlessly runs off the car.

Id highly recommend a ceramic coating after paying for all that work to be done to correct the car. It doesn't make much sense to go through all that work and then not properly protect it when you can apply this ceramic coating yourself at home without any prior knowledge and $110.
I watched one youtube video on how to apply it and did it myself on a vehicle 2 years ago and have done 5 since. It is SO simple and you'll be blown away at the results guaranteed. https://www.obsessedgarage.com/colle...m-light-exo-v4

Yea ceramic coating should be the cheapest part after paying hours of paint correction.
But I do what Obsessed Garage does. Jescar Power Lock + Collinite then Bead Maker with every wash. |

Sonax Polymer Net Shield. Ridiculously easy to apply, looks good (not the absolute best), shocking durability. I get around 6 months out of a coating. Even when the car sits outside, I get months of protection.
It's what I use. It's basically wipe on wipe off after you dry the car. No buffing.

CQuarts UK 3.0 after paint correction is simple to apply and do under $100. If you have a garage to allow it to cure at least 24 hours. After that I use Car Pro reset for the soap and Reload for the maintenance every 2 months or so. The car still looks flawless.

CQuartz ceramic coating, apply it yourself. Make sure you follow the directions and have brand new high quality microfiber towels. It won't cost you more than $100 to DIY.

Just to add another vote. A paint correction without ceramic isn't just a missed opportunity it's all around a bad idea. Don't scrub off a layer of clear coat just to expose it to getting scratched all over again. Protect it the right way, and also: do it once. The amount you spend on wax and application over the next few years will have paid for ceramic multiple times over.

I will say I think theres often some unrealistic expectations from a looks standpoint with ceramic coating. It doesn't look better than a great layer of paste wax. What you're paying for with ceramic coating is durability that other paint protections on the market cannot achieve. Some ceramics, just like certain waxes exhibit more gloss than others, and some more clarity than others.
Your car is going to look awesome regardless, just know that if you had done a top end paste wax it would have looked just as good (or better) when you picked it up. However you would have good water beading and clearcoat protection for only a fraction of the time before you're back to either living with swirls from day to day wear OR continually paying for a paint correction that scrubs off a little more of your clearcoat each time. |
