looks like that part # is for a complete engine wiring harness - i was expecting to find something like this

There's no such option, it's one large wiring harness. I've never seen a part number nor availability for new replacements of the ignition coil connectors either (not even aftermarket), maybe someone can post a link or part number if those are available.

yeah im assuming the tab probably or some plastic rubbed off. i have seen the connectors for sale on ebay individually. not sure if you can just splice the connector but might not hurt to look into it. unless its the coil then youd just have to replace that
