Quick Question...best setting for M button?

what are the best settings for the M button on the steering wheel for a e92 manual to make it the quickest and most responsive??

I searched a little bit but couldn't find much for every setting.

thanks

A M button is to design the M3 to increase power and the handling of the car when needed, like if u want to scare your hot date, use the m button...but really its for racing/track/or maybe to get away from the police.

LOL @ some responses. 2008bimmerM3 I assume you don't have the technology package? And Fkellym3, you sound like you've read too many marketing brochures.

tma1c, the best settings depend on the circumstances. Which part are you confused about? You can set throttle response, steering, suspension and traction control (and transmission mode if you have M-DCT). Put them all in the highest setting for the most aggressive setup, but it won't necessarily be the fastest setup depending on your driving surface and your ability.

I wasn't really confused. I saw my friends car and he had like 4 settings under the M button. I will look it up

thanks!

No problem. I just looked and these are the settings:

EDC - Sport
DSC - M Dynamic Mode
Power - Sport Plus
Servotronic - Sport

Drive around with the button off and while you're going around 20 MPH in 2nd gear, hit the button and you'll see a massive difference. I actually never drive with the M button off. And one important thing to note, is that it doesn't increase fuel consumption (oddly enough). Same thing goes for the E60 M5, when the power button is enabled (which adds an additional 100 hp) fuel consumption barely (and I mean a totally insignificant amount) goes up.
