A big disadvantage of the M3....
I'm very upset because I get stares and from men all the time..... Also, in gas stations and parking lots, they get by and make comments.....
Where are the girls??? One of the reasons I like the M3 is that it looks "similar" to a normal 3 series and doesn't have the high profile of a sports car..... but I never though I would be attracting men.. |

I'm sure this will be interpreted as shallow, but I hope to use that very fact as a way to weed out the women I don't want to date. There are (hot) women who know exactly what an M3 is, which makes them even hotter!!

I know that this has been discussed, but I needed to "let it out"... today was worse than ever. (would be a bonus if it attracted women, but that doesn't really matter) |

This is some funny shit I read I get compliments from all sorts of folks, mostly men of course, a few kids, I see chic's looking while their driving or walking down the street, a few, not many will take a look and I'v seen a few chica's look over their shoulder as I'm driving past but the sad truth is it's mostly men that'll take a few looks more. At the car I hope and not me. So far as far as I know, no ***'s have tried to hit on me for my car...thank God! But I sure didn't buy it to get attention from others. It's fun though, a few times drivng through my area, the kids in the street playing are like, "I like your M3" Ha!! some smart 8 year old new what it was. Sharp kid.
But I got this hot chic at my work that loves my ride and is allways wanting to ride to lunch in it, braggs about it to her friends, but it's not gonna make her or any other chic want to hit the sack. Hopefully, but not likely. |

It is just a 3 series to women. You want that kind of attention start saving up for a car with a prancing horse on it. You can even get an old one, they don't know the difference.

Even most guys don't know what this car is. One of my guy friends told me, "this must have cost like $40,000!!" uh. One of my friends who's a girl asked me, "what's an M3?" (and remember folks, the M3 has been out for over 20 years. but yeah, if anyone does know what the car is, 9 times out of 10 it will be a dude. But that's besides the point, and not the reason I got the car. If you want attention, like another poster said, you've got to get something with a horse or bull on the hood.

I guess it depends. Are you driving downtown Wyoming or downtown Los Angeles? South Beach in FL, Venice Beach in CA, or down by the farmer's store in a town with 400 people.
My guess is June, Miami or LA....you'll get your share of from both. |

Quite yer whinin' and go drivin'. Buying a car because it impresses someone else is lame. You should buy a car because it impresses you.

My wife pointed out to me that guys driving standard 3xx series BMW's don't notice my M3 when I drive by. I never noticed until I was at a gas station and the 58-60 year old guy filling up his 325xi 6 feet away (and we were the only ones there) didn't even take note of my car.
I don't care, but I thought BMW drivers were aware where other BMW's were near. Kinda like Harley guys flashing their lights. I notice it now all the time. No love. Interesting. |

Funny, other BMW drivers tend to notice the car more, male or female in our area. Otherwise, yes mainly males.
