6MT Perfect Launch?
For you MT guys:
What's your technique you've found works best with this car to get the perfect launch off the line? Without spinning the tires too much (you know in case you need to beat a AMG or RS4 in the lane next to you ). What settings do you like? Those with Tech package do you turn DSC totally off or like M Dynamic? What RPM do you like? Those with EDC, do you adjust your settings?

I thought you want the EDC on comfort to give you better traction on the rear tire.
So do you just dump the clutch? And like in the OP, do you use MDM or turn it off? I read some magazines where they achieved 4.1-4.3 0-60 times. Does anyone know exactly how they did that?

EDC on comfort. Normal power map. M Dynamic Mode for looser DSC. Depending on road surface and how much heat you've put into your tyres...between 3,500 - 4,500 rpm.

Don't set the EDC to sport, you want the suspension to have some give in the rear.

This is a good question. I think this is the part that really takes the skill. If you just dump the clutch all the power hits the rear wheels at once and they spin. But if you ease into it too slowly it's gotta be pretty bad for the clutch and takes time?

If you're not trying to really launch the car, which is to say you don't want to abuse your car and dump the clutch and smoke your tires, then I get the best normal starts with comfort mode on the suspension, mdm, power button on, and pumping the gas a bit so it's up around 2500 and taking off with a quickish clutch release but without just dumping the clutch. Also, I find it works better if you don't mash the gas right away, but wait until around 4000 to go wot. |

I would have thought that 3500rpm and controling the amount of wheel slip was the ideal fashion for getting the best launch off the line. It would be a good starting point as I feel the 4600rpm base point on LC in the M-DCT cars is still a little high.
