Well a brand new BMW M3 in Singapore - BASE.. with not DCT is $360,000 Singapore dollars. Conversion rate of Singapore Dollars to USD is 0.678334, So that means a base M3 cost $244,200.
Singapore cars are one of the priciest in the world. |

Yep, the same with some other South East Asian countries. I heard they have import tax, luxury tax, VAT..etc add up to 300% for any vehicles coming in. Insane!

I grew up and live in Singapore... I am studying in US right now and I have an M3..
Yes, that is true - there are a lot of corolas and small displacement cars but you will be surprised with the number of supercars they have considering that it is such a small country (4 million people). Plenty of ferraris and lambos.. I always valet my tech-art magnum cayenne turbo when I go to hotels in Singapore and it's not every time that is parked upfront. Check out this you tube video (not saying much but I found it randomly the other night) There are also around 12 phantoms if I'm not wrong and considering they are $1.2 million SGD a pop, not bad. But a lot of people buy into the brand, not performance. So there are plenty of E200s and BMW 323s and 523s on the road. So M3s and C63s are very rare considering that at $350k SGD, it's similarly priced as a Maserati Granturismo (perceived as more prestigious). But you hey guess what, Nissan GT-R R35 is only $250,000! I heard V-Spec is coming in under $300,000 |

If that price is in yuan, that still makes the car 100k American at the current exchange rate. Compared to our international brethren, I think we have it best in terms of the pricing we get.
