Did you get your rear window tinted?

I have this rattle also. I think the normal 3 series has it also. Search on E90 post. I didn't see much resolution.

It's going to vary from car to car.

I thought it was a problem until I found out it was the seat belt making the noise.

just had this fixed today. I was convinced it was from the rear as well. got the tech to ride around with me and at first he couldn't hear it, which was driving me crazy because it's really noticable to me. I heard it on bumps and basically any time I pushed the gas in the lower gears from 2500-3000 up. Sounded like a buzzing. My first instict was it was the seats, which I messed with w/o luck. anyway, this guy got in the back and after removing the center rear headrest all together, the noise completely stopped.
the car still has a few noises hear and there, but I think that's to be expected driving in LA with the M3's suspension, but the sound I was hearing was a really loud buzzing (I was convinced it was more likely the welded plate Mike Benvo mentioned in his post as it sounded like metal on metal buzzing). anyway, seems to be good for now. |

So what should we do to fix it? Take the center headrest out?
I have a rattle, but its right on top of the gauge cluster. Anyone else have it???? I'll have to ask if they'll fix it next time I go in..... It gets annoying, though.....
