Exhaust Breakin

Today my car started to sound different after driving for about 20 min.

Basically the sound changed. Deeper and a bit drone like. Actually, it almost sounds like an exhaust leak. For sure it now sounds more american muscle-sih. I have 550 miles on her. Did anyone else notice the exhaust note changing as you rack up the breakin miles.

Thanks

I've heard that an exhaust can be broken in, but also it will sound different when everything heats up...

yeah Im hoping its just break in and not broken. LOL The only weird thing is that its not as smooth as before and a bit deeper tone throught rev range. I liked it just the way it was before. But later in the evening it did smooth out a bit but the deeper tone was still their.

I'll keep all that care posted. Additional feed back would be great

I noticed after some time my stock exhaust started to get a bit louder then when first bought. At least it seemed that way.

Is it smart to change the exhaust from day one?

Sure if you want. Why wouldn't it be?

Its now starting to smooth out. Now at about 630 miles all of a sudden the pulse of the exhaust is going back to tighter and smaller pulses. Much smoother than when I started this thread. Before it was much courser almost as if something was stuck in the exhaust system or maybe a bad plug in one of the cylinders.

But if it were a bad plug, I would think I would get a Check engine light.

How did things turn out for you. Did it go back to being silky smooth or is it still a bit course? Mine so far has a bit more to go until it is back to smooth as silk
