Driver Side Mirror

Need some input. Half the time when I get in my car, my driver’s side mirror is not in the same position I left it in. When it does this, even if I hit memory button 1 or 2, it does not go to the correct memory positions for either button. When this happens I have to manually reset the mirror. My concern with this issue is at night. Several times now at night I’ve been driving down the road and I look over in my rearview mirror to change lanes etc. when I realize the mirror is not set properly. I’ve not yet tried using my backup key. My plan was to do that next.

Any ideas?

Drive faster, then you won't have to worry about who's behind you, unless you see flashing lights.

On a more serious note: You car is under warranty, take it in.

Seriously - take it in...the 535 has a tendency for the passenger side mirror to "drift" over time (weather or not you have it in the reverse tilt down mode) but it is easily corrected by pressing the memory button...something's amiss with yours.
