Adaptive headlight: doesnt go left (driver side) when car stopped...Is this normal?

I was pulling the car into the garage last night, and was goofing around with the adaptive headlights. When the car is at a full stop (In Park or Neutral): When you turn to the right, the adaptive headlights turn, then the cornering light turns on. When you turn to the left, the adaptive headlights dont do anything, but the corner light comes on.

I checked while driving, and I think (but I'm not absolutely positive) that the headlights turn to the left while turning.

Is this normal? I know the adaptive headlights are deactivated on Reverse, but would there be a reason to not have it work on Left Turns when the car is stopped?

Yes, normal. To prevent blinding oncoming traffic. I'd be willing to wager they don't go right in the UK!
