Finally, Got my E90 ///M3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW,
What a car! I have test drove a coupe with both manual and DCT before, but I never got into the feeling of the car, until I drove my friend's E90 sedan this past Wednesday. Immediately, I went the next day and got it.....In Alpine White with Black Extended leather. The car has all the options except for Rear sunshade and HD radio... which I care less about! My first plan in getting the M3 was to go for a basic no option model, but I am glad that I went with a fully specc'd car....I would not do it any other way....Ipod integration is lovely and the Enhanced sound plus map is just lovely.... (Love my two humps!) I was torn between the Alpine White and the Silverstone, but seeing that the dealer's Silverstone had no Cold weather package (I needed the rear fold seats) and also had a bonus 55 miles on the odo....I wondered how those miles were driven!!! So, it was the White E90 with 3 miles only..... The car is quiet compared with the E46, but the sound it makes is great.....I just want to get over with the DAMN break in.....the car is fast enough upto 5500, and I think that my license will be lost when break in is over!!!! So, I am averaging 150 miles for the past three days, and I am planning on taking a trip (maybe to Vegas and maybe win back the car's price...hahaha) Anyways, I was really thinking that I would not enjoy the M3 compared with the E46, but its way much better and the seats are just great. Anyhow, I need to go and get my miles racked.... (Sorry for the pics, but they were taken by my Nokia N85!) |

You had that beautiful camera and you used your phone?!
Haha, just kidding. Beautiful car, and that's odd, I'm thinking of getting a pretty bare M3 for weight and money reasons. Do you find the options useful in daily driving? |

Congratulations!!!
I nevertheless find it crazy that the folding rear seats are only available with the winter package?? The OP lives in Abu Dhabi (not really a cold climate!) and needs winter package to get this.... some of the packages compiled by BMW do not make sense. Folding rear seats should be standard on the e90. Also, are these two M convertibles parked next to your car in the lot??

UAE247, congrats man, and alf mabrook! i'm actually more excited about you getting the car than you lol.
it looks gorgeous, upi can never go wrong with white. dies your have have the Power/EDC/Sport buttons next to the shift knob? i can't wait to meet up so we can have a go with my coupe M3 btw, did you see the facelifted M3 at the dealer, and what did you think? the new iDrive is nice, but a selling point, i think the major change is the rear lights. regardless, you're car is a beauty and congrats again! see you soon! edit: damn, the N85 interior shot is full of noise! o_o ...i'm glad i'm keeping my N95. edit 2: don't forget the short shifter ...so will the mini be up for sale? or are you keeping it? Hey Buddy,
Welcome to the M3 where sheer driving pleasure is taken to a whole new level. Enjoy the car!! I know i did and still am. I recently purchased an E92 M3 Coupe in Alpine white too approximately 1month and 4days ago. Its fully optioned and has Alcantra Red Leather with full options. Just got a set of carbon eyelids, Active Autowerke Short Shift Kit and a custom gear knob made to be fitted tomorrow, 5th Nov 2008. Have fun.

Unfortunately there are only two M3 in Brunei both of which are 2008 models. The first is the AW Coupe and the other is the 4Dr Silvestone II color. Well, the E92 M3s in Brunei is ridiculously overpriced at BND225k equivalent to USD142k. Yup, you read right! Really stupid isn't it! I call it day-light robbery... Anyways I purchased my E92 M3 as 2nd hand (7.5months old) for BND150k equivalent to USD98k with the mileage sat at only 3120km on the clock because the previous owner had lost interest in the M3 after he purchased the Audi R8 (2months after M3 purchase) and VW R32. He obviously had too much money and wasn't fussed so i figure it was a deal and steal of the century especially when i was in the market for a car after selling my 2007 Audi RS4 for USD122k with a mileage of 18,450km. Either ways i am really disgusted at how cars are priced in Brunei especially when i know their true value back in Aus (of where i grew up) and US. If it wasn't for the sale of the Audi I doubt i would have owned the current M3.
