I think so. I weighed mine with a little over half a tank at the track @3495. (That was before I removed the rear seat for people who know I did that btw).

DCT is a complete and utter bitch at the strip. Just trying to control the burnout was a horrible experience and the BFG's need to be hot. I don't blame the BFG's, I blame me, but I think I will be switching to the Mickey Thompson radial, possibly the 305/35/18. I'll sell you my BFG's for cheap if you want. Great 60 foot on street tires! What was the TEMP and I'll look into the track elevation. |

Your track is basically sea level and the low was 37 degrees (high 70, assuming yesterday), no wonder you had such a good time and trap speed. I would love a track like that.

You need to take the brake fuse out so it fools the car and it doesnt think your "panicking" press the gas and break at the same time. It causes the DCT even while turned off to kick in and cut power to the wheels making the burn out to heat the tires very hard.. I learn this with the VQ35 platform and I tried it with the M and it also works. DOnt ask me why it just does..

I didn't have any issues with the balance of the car or anything. They weigh only 43 lbs. Less than a quarter thank of gas.

We've been through that several times. That includes full tank, driver, baggage, and probably sunroof as well.

Yes I worked for me!! WOW! the rear seats are only 43lbs?? Lucid do you think you can post some pics or your backseat area?? You can PM to me if you want to keep it on the down low. IMO I have more control of the throttle with out launch control and I can prevent from dumping the clutch and shocking the drivetrain. I stage and lift the clutch out to it just about starts to engage and then rev it to about 4K and leave on the green with the drive train already loaded preventing any shock (i.e dumping it). Launch control is for girls...LOL Luie

Does the ABS still work? Running around all the time without the brake fuse probably wouldn't be what I would want but if I could temporarily turn it off that would be great.

No it doesnt disable the ABS, its the brake fuse to the tail light that it. Once again I dont know how it works and why, but for some reason the DCT get some signal from that brake fuse Ahhh I better keep my opinion to my self on this one.... But to answer your question the only thing that will not work are your tail lights adn prevent the DCT from kicking in while your pressing the breaks and the gas at the same time, thats why I only do this at the drag strip.

3420 is right in line with the numbers 3 or 4 others have posted when they actually weighed their cars. The Euro 3700 number includes a lot more than just the basic car. Remember a full tank of gas equals 100 lbs. Plus the OPs car does not have a lot of options, saving even more weight.
