delay in production
Dealer just called my production is now week 9 not 6. Ugh
Confirmed it with BMW USA and they say its due to UK allotment ie too many orders! Any other 389 prod # confirm this?

:bangdesk:nooooooooooooooo
shouldn't they have decided how many 1ers are being allotted to the UK. that would either mean they're going to make more 1ers than predicted or the US is going to get less |

That sucks for you, Dude. I think my head would explode if somebody told me I had to wait longer. BUT, weren't you thinking about Savanna Beige, as I was? Maybe this is an option for you to reconsider if it is true. . . . :iono: Just trying to help ease the pain. :drinking: |

sorry- was rushed and knew it was someone with a close production number. I am certainly going to revisit the Savanna beige issue if my production date gets boofed.

Same here. I really want beige with Alpine White. I had beige leather in my first Z3 and it wasn't hard to keep clean at all. Leather cleaner and conditioner make all the difference.

My dealer told me the exact opposite this morning. He said BMW is looking to accelerate production to "get some cars on the road in the US." He originally gave me a production date of Feb7, but this morning told me it may go into production in TWO WEEKS!

That's what's kind of odd. Although I paid my deposit in Oct, I didn't actually go to the dealership and complete my order until Dec29. I have a much higher production number than others I've seen here (3902xxx). Status on Owners Circle just says On Order.

yup. my dealer showed me their allocations sitting in their computer system ... all still priority 3 and not ordered by customers at that time. all had production numbers already.

not to thread-jack but how long after your order was placed did a production date show up in the automated phone system?
supposedly my order was switched from priority 3 to priority 1 yesterday and it still has an unscheduled build date when i call the automated system. strangely the dealer showed it in their system as a week 9 build as priority 3 and said when they switched it to priority 1 it got bumped up to week 8 build. I still don't know what week 8 is! I was just trying to get that confirmed through the automated system and got - nothing -. thanks!

What's your order look like on the Owner's Circle? Mine's been correct ever since I checked it. That's getting info from the BMW ordering system. It's in the status of Ordered and as me as the customer, with my options assigned to it.
